The Ness and Beauly Fisheries Trust undertakes a mix of both practical and research projects. The practical projects are largely targeted at safeguarding or improving aquatic and riparian habitat, whereas research projects aim to improve the management of fish stocks by providing key information. It is anticipated that the number of projects that the Trust is engaged in will increase over time. The drop down menus above provide brief summarises of the follow projects that we are currently undertaking:

  • Pearls in Peril LIFE+ Project;
  • Upper Garry Restoration Project;
  • Holm Burn Restoration Project;
  • Culburnie Bridge Apron Removal;
  • Salmon Tagging Programme;
  • Scale Sampling Programme;
  • Scottish Mink Initiative;
  • Sea Trout Netting in the Beauly Firth with the MFTI; and
